INTRODUCTION
The story of OSYC begins with the creation of the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) by Yuga Labs in 2021. Arguably the most successful NFT project, the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), is a collection of 10,000 uniquely generated bored apes that are stored on the Ethereum blockchain. The project blew up so quickly that a good number of people wanted to be part of it. Unfortunately, not everyone was lucky enough to be allowed into BAYCBAYC, including three friends who eventually founded the OSYC.
What is OSYC?
OSYC is an abbreviation for Outside Yacht Club. OSYC is a project whose aim is to create an NFT collection with great utility, especially for people who missed out on the BAYC project. The artwork and the entire project were inspired by the Bored Apes collection.
OSYC is a collection of 5,555 apes that live on the Ethereum Blockchain and are each individually selected from more than 160 traits. Each ape is unique, and no two apes are exactly alike. The apes are stored as ERC-721 tokens on the Ethereum blockchain and hosted on IPFS. Purchasing an ape costs 0.05 ETH.

KEY SYSTEM
At OSYC, we have a key system that allows users to gain access to utilities and other features through the use of keys. These keys are of various types, and each key serves a unique purpose. The keys can be used multiple times and can also be combined to create new keys. At the moment, there are seven types of keys, including
WL KEY: The WL key is distributed to individuals who have won raffles or through collaboration. This key opens the WL door, ensuring that you have the OSYC WL. With the WL key, you will be able to mint OSYC at a lower rate and have the opportunity to be one of the first to do so.
OG KEY: The OG key opens the OG door and ensures that you have the OSYC OG role. It is obtained through raffles and collaborations. This key grants access to a private community and allows holders to mint more OSYC than WL holders. OG can mint the pass key without burning their OG key.
PASS KEY: This key, as the name suggests, is your access code to our VIP channel and an alpha group where you can trade, get help from others, and learn new things. It has practically endless advantages. To obtain the pass key, you need to combine 3 WL keys and 1 OG key.
ECHO KEY: You can free-mint our mutant ape using this key.
APE KEY: The ape key is the rarest of all keys. Holders of this key can get a real mutant ape. You can own this key by combining other keys to build it.
TRAVEL KEY: Holders of this key can use it to travel to any country for free.
MERCH KEY: This key is used to claim T-shirts, caps and other items from the merch store.
Having any of these keys offers several benefits and gives you direct access to further future features. This is something you most definitely do not want to miss.
What lies ahead?
We will release our caged apes and airdrop FIVE caged apes to random ape holders.
We will have a key safe.
A member-exclusive merch store with caps, t-shirts, and other items will be unlocked.
We will begin a treasure hunt which will involve searching for treasures by solving puzzles and completing missions with rewards of up to 10 ETH.
We will initiate the Bored Ape liquidity pool.
We cook up new ways to ape with our friends.
Past this first phase, plans are to be decided/voted on by members of the OSYC.
While NFT apps’ full potential is still being realized, we are optimistic about what the future may hold. With projects like OSYC in development, the ownership of digital assets will certainly continue to permeate our lives, and consumables will soon enter the realm of sought-after blockchain collectibles.
